Palestinian Professors and staff from all Palestinian Partners, and all of EU partners visited the University of Salford (USAL) for a three-days technical workshop and steering committee meetings in the period from 12th to 14th of June 2019.
In the first day of the workshop, the participants discussed in details the work done so far in all Work packages, and put a plan to continue the remaining work in each work package.
The second day of the workshop was dedicated for listening to some presentations in USAL related to smart cities, and to visit the Virtual Learning Studio and other centers that help the eSCO project team in implementing the next activities of the project.
In the third day, the participants met in Manchester Central Library to attend a presentation about the projects related to smart cities in Manchester. Also, The eSCO team met with the external evaluator, Dr Ziad Abu-Alzeet, to discuss with him the progress so far and to listen to his advises. Finally, a tour was made in Manchester City center.

تم تخصيص اليوم الأول من الورشة لنقاش تفصيلي حول الإنجازات في جميع حزم العمل والخطة التي يجب إتباعها لإنجاز ما تبقى من مهام خلال الفترة القادمة.
في اليوم الثاني زار المشاركون عدة مراكز في جامعة سالفورد منها ما هو متخصص في تطوير طرق التعليم وتصوير المحاضرات لبثها إلكترونيا وهذا يساعدنا لاحقا بالمشروع . كما حضر المشاركون عدة ندوات متعلقة بالمدن الذكية.
في اليوم الثالث إلتقى المشاركون في المكتبة المركزية لمدينة مانشستر حيث استمعوا لندوة حول مشاريع المدن الذكية في مانشستر وكيفية الاستفادة منها. بعد ذلك إلتقى طاقم المشروع مع المقيم الخارجي د. زياد أبو الزيت ، وتم نقاش المخرجات والاستماع لنصائحه وتقييماته. واختتم المشاركون ورشة العمل بجولة في مركز مدينة مانشستر.
